manual to self ignition-not the fiery kind, but of one’s inherent self potential. The book is written in a simple, smooth and conversational style with gripping use of grammar.

‘An expired person is a careless person because he has nothing to lose in life; he has no sense of purpose or destiny, he is reckless and is as harmful as an expired drug which is poisonous and detrimental to human health. Expired people cause others to expire.’
If that doesn’t grip you, then nothing will!
The book is divided into twelve chapters touching on various aspects of life. Chapter six (Self Awareness) is particularly an eye opener. The chapter introduces the concept of your Unique Selling Point in life and how to find yourself.
The chapters are short and to
the point. The reader is advised to read them slowly while reflecting on how to apply the ideas into one’s life. The book is simply CAPTIVATING! On completion, one gets the feeling of being revitalized.
The writer liberally quotes world figures that have made an impact in the world during their lives such as Winston Churchill, Abraham Maslow and Jack Welch.
The writer doesn’t give enough local examples that the Kenyan reader can readily identify with.

These “local heroes” should have been mentioned and held up as inspirational figures especially in this era of glorified corruption where the barons of graft are considered heroes.”

Ever since i shared a short talk with him at the Bomas of Kenya in 2010, while in a speech competition when i was still a student at St. Luke’s Boys High School Kimilili, i have seen my student ministry rapidly grow.
